If the sum of humanity is righteous then why do we need laws?

If most people are trustworthy then why do we need to be careful?

If we generally want good then why does so much bad continue to happen?

How is it not vein to consider ourselves righteous?

How can someone say they can be trusted when they can't be honest?

How can humanity's sum be called good when evidence says it is not?

06:48 pm - Lack Of Work Ethic

This is just a load of garbage.

Now if you've stayed in a hotel or inn of some sort you already know the people hired to clean the rooms don't do there job (not that it's everyone but far too many that don't). What's garbage is her comment at the end about if she was getting paid more or got larger tips she would have done her job. What kind of crap is that? You know what kind of pay and work you were in for when you took the job so those being reasons for not doing it is crap and whoever was inspecting the rooms were just as lazy or needed glasses. Aside from the admitted laziness doing a job and not being paid right or having your work appreciated can be a bit demoralizing, but is no excuse for not doing your job. If you don't like your pay check just stay at home and do nothing and let someone who's actually going to do what they are hired to do have the money. Saying your pay isn't high enough (even if that is the truth) or whining over not getting what you'd call a good tip (that person could have kept their $1 or dime or whatever amount they left) is just a really crappy excuse for not doing your job. Even people who do get paid decently whine and don't half work complaining they aren't getting enough. Just a classic case of expecting to be paid for nothing and flat out laziness. I know what it's like all too well to have a mini-wage job and be treated like crap. From what she is saying she rarely ever had to deal with folks outside of cleaning their rooms and fact is people make messes and things needed to be cleaned and that's what you were hired to do so her complaints about people being messy especially about the hair on pillows is utter bull. Now that doesn't give anyone an excuse for pissing all over the place like an untrained dog however. Some people are just nasty bastards and on that note I do feel for anyone that has to clean up after their filthy behinds. It's even worse when you go to a hotel and find dried yearn in your room. It's hell I know but please show some pride in yourself and do your job. Perhaps if people could be confident their room was clean when they walked in it they'd be more generous with giving you a tip or a bigger tip (provided they can afford it or even know that you are expecting one). Still, while tips are great you should have more pride in yourself not to expect someone to give you extra money for doing something you were supposed to in the first place.

10:38 am - Number One!
It's an insertion song from the first season of the Bleach animation. I have to admit it made me cringe when I initially heard it, I think only due to the fact it was played in association with the most annoying character when you first hear it. Anyway, once you get over the Don Konoji shock it's a pretty good song especially if you pay particular attention to the instrumental. The lyrics are cute and although a sort of dated style of the music that does make you a bit embarrassed to pump it where anyone besides you can hear it it's a pretty catchy tune. So if you aren't embarrassed to listen to 1970s funk styled rock then blast it- as long as you know it won't stir your neighbors to murder you for interrupting the quiet. (^_~) Personally I prefer listening to the instrumental as the vocals get old little quick, but since it's such a fun song it's better to sing along than just listen. The high voltage guitar rifts are certainly drool worthy and what I love the most about this song which definitely makes number in my opinion. LOL

Take a listen:

12:12 pm - (^o^) Junk Food Love
Food a good place to get Japanese candy and other junk online. Seems if you order one item no matter the quantity you get free shipping. Too bad that doesn't apply if you order different things together at once. Well I'll how it works out and then I can base my junk food rations on it.

Since I don't do free advertizement I'm not going to post the store's name outright, but depending on my experience with them I might unless asked the name before then.

But seriously if anyone knows a good place please post a comment and tell me.

Life without sugar? No never!

10:28 pm - Eh?

Hot Blooded Woman (expanded oppinion after reading the last volume)

According to the scanlator HBW sucked. I guess if you aren't familiar with her work it looks great. Since I am no stranger to seeing the same thing in a different package/re-arrange/mixed and matched (however you want to term it)- Tyler Perry's movies being a HUGE example of recycled material and combined with the facts they seem to be a long time fan and even went through the pain of scanlating this series, even though they thought it sucked, I'm going to accept their opinion as fact. If you are new to someone's work it's easy to be carried away by recycled plots and characters. >.> Sigh, I still liked it, but like the scanlator said not a ten by any means although because I know nothing of her previous work I gave it a far higher score on a 1-10 scale than they did. Heh, so I guess my opinion is skewed by inexpereince. So in conclusion- worth a read if you don't know the author's other works or maybe haven't read very many of them. It's certainly different from most shoujo-ish romance GNs I've come across. Mind you this is coming from a very picky otaku. ^_~

note: Title reflects my reaction to the scanlator's notes at the end of the last volume. Kinda surprised but I enjoyed reading it.

04:36 pm - Hot Blooded Woman

This is a really good manhwa. It's very comedic but the story and character development is excellent. The author really knows how to create characters that are like real people. Not many can do that; characters often come out one sided when people have many different faces to them even though one or two tend to be their primary mode. Yes, despite the silliness this really is a reflection of life.... if you are a gangbanging thug in South Korea at least. >.> However, I have no clue about thug life in other places but her comic seems to be more down to earth than most stories with these kind of elements so I'm believing she is basing it off real life. I'd be very surprised if I ever found out she wasn't into psychology since her characters seem so real- for the most part; there are some who are just meant to play certain rolls for comic relief and building up the main ones but even they have some depth so I'm really impressed by this.

The scanlation can be found on a few sites but I'm listing the one I'm reading it on;

Hot Blooded Woman
Just a warning to those with no pateince and freak out at the slightest mistakes; the English is not perfect, it should be obvious by how things are worded it is not the scanlator's first language, and the scanlator even admited to having known mistakes. However, with such a literal translation it let's you know some things about Korean language and culture if you can pick up on them. While I would prefer a cleaner translation this one is still fun and interesting to read for those reasons alone.

Other recommendations;
Psyren
This is my first choice in graphic novel/comic reading. I get all excited and wanna scream like a fan-girl if I see a new chapter has been put up. Very clean translation and like HBW can be found on other sites if not more. Very good title- excellent for nurmerous reasons so worth reading and keeping, that is if you know where to purchase them...

10:26 pm - Personality DNA

This is an interesting site; http://www.personaldna.com/tests.php. I'm surprised by the absolute accuracy of it.

Anyway here are my results:
It says I am a reserved builder. Well I did enjoy playing with legos as a child *laughs*

edit Jul.28,2008:
Hmm, i guess I could share this much: (unless you click on the link this entry is pretty boring otherwise. >.>) Really I just didn't feel like copying and pasting before since I have to tweak it so it doesn't look weird while reading. :p The more detailed stuff you have the option of posting in tile of colors.... but that's TOO revealing. This is really the only test I've come across that is dead certain. Thing is there was this other test I took some years ago that I haven't been able to find since that was really good too- though a little off center. I wonder what happened to it? Sigh, oh well.

You are Reserved

You are RESERVED – you aren't someone who always needs to have others around, and you find you can handle most situations on your own.

You can be very happy spending time alone, and enjoy your own thoughts and ideas.

You find it difficult to understand why some people get so emotional and tell everyone else their problems.

You believe that if you want to get something done, it is best to do it yourself.

In your experience, other people are not always completely dependable, so you generally rely on yourself and only a few close others.

Despite your independence, you are not a closed-minded person who makes hasty judgments about others. You know that it isn't always easy to walk in other people's shoes.

At times other people's feelings are puzzling to you, and you wish that people were more rational.

Your vision of the world is complex – your values are not set in stone. Instead, you are able to change your beliefs as you learn new information.

If you want to be different:

Even though it is tiring, making an extra effort to spend time with others even when you feel like being alone can have powerful positive effects on your relationships.

Practice talking about yourself to people you haven't previously trusted. You will forge friendships where you wouldn't have thought possible, and with practice, sharing your thoughts and feelings will get easier and easier.

You are a Builder

You are detail-oriented, cautious, and practical, making you a BUILDER.

You are excellent at focusing on the concrete, functional elements of things, so you're good at making things happen.

Pursuing novel ways of doing things helps you to be efficient.

You're great to have on a team, as you understand how things work and don't let your ego get in the way.

You're perceptive, down-to-earth, and realistic.

You don't see a need to commit to a set routine or schedule—you'd rather improvise a little.

Although you may doubt yourself sometimes, you have the skills and the curiosity to pursue broader adventures.

You like to consider a lot of information before making big decisions, and you think about that information in realistic, thorough ways.

You don't concern yourself with flashy styles or surface appearances—you're far too sensible for that.

You prefer to have time to plan for things, feeling better with a schedule than with keeping plans up in the air until the last minute.

If you want to be different:
Think more abstractly about things without abandoning your valuable sensibility.

01:26 pm - Meet The Browns (the movie)
People who say this movie suck are seriously tripping- like drug overdose after 50 cups of coffee trippin'. Dairy Of A Mad Black Woman was kind of disappointing especially with the play being such a knock out so I was skeptical about Meet the Browns when it was turned into a movie since as a play it wasn't all that great, but the movie more than makes up for it and really shows Perry's talent. The first two movies he did may have been a little bumpy but wow I'm totally blown away by this last one and hoping his next film will be just as excellent or better. To be honest I think people are too used to watching too much trash to apprecaite good films- that and the fact that some people are just haters. Tyler Perry did good on this one and this is coming from someone extremely picky about the kind of movies and things she takes in for entertainment. So two thumbs up from this hard to please person. :)

Having said all that I guess I’ll go into more detail but since you won’t know if you like it until you see it I suggest at least renting it from your local video store- that is if you want to see a good movie that is true to life that has a happy ending that you can watch with your children. Please people keep the ratings in mind and don’t plop your seven year old down alone in front of movies that aren’t appropriate for them. To be honest some movies aren’t appropriate for adults to watch alone or with someone else but moving on.

Rating:
Very appropriate. Too many movies out there rated PG13 that should be R based on their standards of rating but due to sales not being as high for R movies in general no doubt that’s the reason for some movies being “under-rated” so to say. Meet The Browns deals with life issues I don’t think can easily be understood by a small child and the fact that prostitution comes up in conversation and the scene where the main female character is being harassed to have sex with her baby daddy for money doesn’t make this a good film for young ones to watch alone unguided.

Acting:
The acting was good and believable. There was a lot of comedy mixed in with the drama, but the movie and the characters stayed on a steady flow- nothing seemed to come out of nowhere or be out of place. There was one scene with Medea being chased by the police that can be considered out of nowhere and out of place but if Tyler Perry made a movie without at least a little Medea fanservice I think there might have been a riot in movie theaters where ever it was showing at the time. For those not familiar with his work yes she is that popular why? Watch one of his plays featuring her (particularly Diary Of A Mad Black Woman) and find out.

The son, oh dear yes the guy playing him did look too old for the part but his acting was believable so not the issue people who say they hated the movie are making it out to be and also some kids just look old but you can tell by how they talk and act in a matter of seconds they are a child so you pedophile-molesters have no excuse. (damn perverts)

Setting:
I didn’t like his first two films too much but I have to admit the setting for all of them is excellent. They all look like real places and this one is no different… Well just a little, some scenes are too obviously staged making it seem like just another movie, but for the most part it seemed real. The project apartment and the Brown’s home- all looked like they were actual places people lived. The scenes on the streets- looked like actual city blocks. Oh and Brown’s car! Movie hoopties are too obvious but having had personal experience with them Browns car was a true representation. Whoever did the sets and things did an excellent job so the movie was entertaining in that aspect as well.

Story and character development:
I’m going to touch on character development first since I’ve seen the pointless complaining on that. Everyone plays nicely off of one another and establishes who they are very well. Even though the little girls didn’t have very many lines what they do say counts so there are no useless why are you here characters. Now speaking of the girls’ lines they also contributed to the story especially the oldest girl. Since I’m spoiling it enough I’m not going to go into what she said except to say that. Story wise everything panned out very well. One person’s review I read complaining about it was about how Brenda fell in love with Harry then started acting all funny and pushed him away then they ended up married a couple of scenes later saying it made no sense, but it makes perfect sense. If you haven’t been hurt and pushed to the point to have an extreme distrust of men because of shattering experiences you’ve had with so many in the past or just never experienced any serious betrayal or other reasons for such distrust then you might not understand how hearing people gossip about him that know more about him than you do would affect how a person acts toward them. Thanks to her loving son pushing her to apologize to him everything turned out alright. If you love someone you aren’t going to say, sorry apology not accepted. I don’t know what it is with guys that make them so stubborn when it comes to women but I don’t think there are too many men that going to just let go like that if he’s actually serious about her and just be bitter. If a man cut a woman up the way she did him I’m not sure an I’m sorry, I really do love you would work. Coming from my background I know it would definitely 100% would not work for me. Conditions would have to be in place in order for me to accept that but even so I doubt it wouldn’t linger in the back of my mind somewhere.

And that’s a wrap!
All in all it was a good movie worth watching and worth adding to your collection.

12:00 am - The Expanse Of A Troubled Land

The Congo alone is as big as the United States yet the continant of Africa is shown so small on numerous globes and maps. It would be easier to fly around the world over the Alantic, across the U.S., over the Pacific and past Asia to get from the Ivory Coast to Kenya than going across the continant. As for history where is it? What is the history of nations of Africa? What about the current events over there? I hear bits and peices but never enough to know completely what the heck is going on over there. What's happening in Congo is horrible. What little I do know is like a waking nightmare. I can't say anything more than that. Watch part of the special done by Dateline on it tonight but I can't take just sitting there and watching footage of people suffer. I heard once that folks sit through those things because it makes them feel like they did something. How is just staring at folks doing anything? It would really piss me off if folks just stood around staring while I suffered, just watching (fact is I've been in sort of that situation being observed like some sceince project while I sat there hurting). That does no one any good and just makes the pain worse. Instead of staring, since I can't do anything for anyone like that I'm going to pray and keep praying for them since that is what I can do. Those people's live have been in a state beyond chaos for decades yet they cling to life for all it's worth. I pray that those efforts won't be in vain that for every person, all those children who died that their happiness is incressed a thousand fold. Amen.

10:37 am - Toxic Toys; Dirty Bootlegs

Recently bid on some anime plushes at Ebay and now I'm worried they are bootleg. Doing a recent search for stores that might have them I came across this site about counterfeit toys. I didn't realize how big of a problem bootleg toys are nor that there are so many floating around out there. I know about DVDs and CDs, but not the toys. Now I'm quite worried about the auctions I've won and if the items are legit or not. Sometimes the signs are clear, but somethings you can't tell until you have the product in hand and even then you might get fooled. I really don't want to have to go through the process of reporting them etc., but nonetheless I will if they turn out to be fakes and hopefully be able to get my money back. While the safety of legit toys is in question these days with that huge recall that was all over the news a while ago (the more quietly kept ones still mounting and stuff that is not even known to be harmful unless you have it tested but who can just go to a lab or even know how test stuff for harmful contaminants?) at least I know the money I pay isn't going to be used to fund criminal actives... I hope. Since most things here are produced overseas where sweatshops and child labor laws don't exist I can't be confident the people that made those legit items aren't being exploited either. Still, I'm going to watch out for things across the board and try to be more educated about this kind of thing. While I still question the production process and safety of legit products usually they aren't crap that needs to be tossed ASAP. With bootlegs "get rid of it quick" is the best thing you can do unless you want to get poisoned.

11:42 pm - Writer's Block: A Last Day Well Spent

If you knew it was your last day on earth, how would you spend the time?

View 502 Answers

Good question. I'm not doubt going to change my answer since there is so much I'd like to do but speaking only of desire since that doesn't equal ability. Anyway, maybe I'd go take a walk in the dead of night while it's raining. No umbrella just me and my soaking wet clothes walking along as the water squished in my sandals. :p Maybe I won't revise my answer. That's good enough for now since that's how I feel now. My train of thought mostly like wouldn't be as it is now if that were really the case.

10:07 pm - Just Nasty

So a relative of mine comes by with her man in tow. Why is it that he waits to get to where I live and pees in the backyard like some kind of dog or something? There is a fast food joint not even a block away they pasted coming here, with a public restroom. Why the hell did he think it a better idea to pee in someone's yard? Her excuse for him "it's a man thing, men pee outside all the time." Yeah nasty men do all the time there's not doubt about that. People get on my nerves making excuses for nasty behavior.

04:42 pm - Getting To Know Him

So, I've finally read the first issue of STATIC and I was like (O.O)through the whole thing. For one I hate how the writers wrote the dialog how they talk. It made it medium hard to understand since I'm not in the frame of mind to decipher that nor the slang used in conjunction with it, but that's the overall thing with comics and with reading Static I was thrown into that world at full speed- so from here on out I'll refer to that kind of thing as comic speak. Just a little off topic with Uncanny X-men I was eased into it since it isn't as heavy in that book (or at least wasn't- I've been away for some years) as it is in Static but you get used to it, sort of. I for one do not care for heavy comic speak- it's irritating. Again it's about medium in Static (maybe just below medium give or take a notch). That's just me though other people might find it entertaining. Either way while I LOVE my comics I would not let my kids read them as a staple of their leisurely reading until they are teenagers.... or I know they are getting good grades in English. Seriously, comics are not the thing to read if you are looking to keep your grammar, spelling, or speech in check. Writers of the comics if you so happen to see this (thanks for reading so far into this entry ^_^) I'm not dissing your skills and/or talent as an author nor your vocabulary it's just that comic speak is not good English (and you all know this so anyway).

Vergil is very toned down in the cartoon. I'm not going to go into detail (because this entry is going to be long enough) but he says some stuff to his best-friend Freada that he ought to have been slapped for. That being said their "thick as thieves" so to say so I'm sure he wouldn't have run of at the mouth like that if he knew it would piss her off in any way. Personality wise Virgil shows a noticeable enough contrast between how he normally is and his uninhibited alter ego as the Superhero Static in the cartoon, but as for the real Static I can't tell too much of a difference, but then again I've only read one issue so far. XD

What is sad that Gear from the cartoon is just of the cartoon. I like the dorky kid so I'm upset he's just a creation that contributes to the toning down of Vergil's character. His real friends are kinda fiery. They curse each other out (well just one guy has so far) and flip the finger to kidnappers. Yes now moving on the gang activity. Vergil attends one of those schools where street thugs roam freely about smacking teachers and whipping out guns and kidnapping the hottest girl in school (Freada) who spews a rather funny quip and gives their leader the finger. Not a for kids comic at all. That said the characters do say a lot of funny things even if it's obvious an old dude not in tune to how teenagers talked at the time is doing the writing. Which propels me in this direction- what the heck? The art looks like early eighties instead of early nineties (when this title hit the scene). Reading Uncanny X-men from when I started collecting you can tell the artists paid attention to the fashion trends of the time and drew the characters as such but with Static that is totally ignored. (Artists happened to see this if you bothered to read this far I'm not dissing your skills and/or talent but I am dissing your observation of the world around you and application of those things in your work. ^_^') Comics are the most contemporary publications besides magazines and newspapers. If you are drawing for a story meant for teenagers of that time then at least match up the look of your characters. But that just could be the writer's fault and the artists were just sticking to the script. Which brings me back to the dialog. Pay more attention to kids and how they behave and speak. I've noticed a lot how kids now and even people a few years younger than me have their own way of saying things and slang. Over all the feeling is communicated so I can't gripe about that too much.

Last on the gripe list for this comic (for now)- some of the stuff Vergil's friends say is seriously sweat dropable but I don't remember vulgar language not being part of the normal whatever mix of conversation when I was in HS and since the writer is trying to parallel the story with reality much as possible and is obviously not an idealist I can forgive that to a certain extent and it makes me think about my own work but more on that later.

I have more to say in regard to the cover art but that's enough for now.

What I did like about Static (so far) is the witty writing. Yes, I know I kinda bashed it for not being as up to date as it should have been but they guy is a good writer and I was laughing at the jokes and come backs all the way through. Vergil's mom fussing at him was my first good laugh where she referred to how he was acting as being "like a cockroach on crack". I don't like the roach reference cuz ew! but I can picture that.... Now I'm starting to hate this guy for that but it's a love hate since that was funny comment, but anyway moving on.

I think the cover art for this issue is nice. Not the greatest but okay in the eye-catching department. Just okay though. :p I like the orange cover the most though- best eye-catching. Even if you can see Static's ribs. >.> Eat child.

Now to the meditation;

Since I read everything in a comic (even the ads sometimes since they in your face and kinda hard not to at least glance it in comics- anyone who reads comics knows what I mean) I got to see some ramblings from the editor and a good spill from the writer which calmed me down about some of the stuff in the book. Hmm... I'm not ging to go into detail (because I'd have to type word for word what the guy said) but what he said about not getting idealology from him and getting reality made me think about my own writing. I'm more of an idealistic writer but at the same time I don't like fluff either and want to keep my stories real as well- even if elements like superheros are the main theme. Fluff is okay and I'll admit I've indulged in fandom of some seriously fluffy and very child freindly stories but those kind of stories are very shallow. They present a world that is completely alien and basically unrelatable too. Want a story that stirs my soul, makes me think, and all while keeping me on the edge of my seat. :) There is no way a story can pull that off without having any grounds in reality. So while I do insert a bit of idealism I still try to keep both feet on the ground and eyes open when writing. Reading his plans for Static that reminded me not to loose sight of that. Sometimes stories can be too real, so while I want to stay grounded at the same time I don't want to (eeeh, how can I word this as closely to what I am thinking?) create something that causes a person to walk away not feeling good about what they read, not influencing them to share that good feeling or do things that shine light in another person's life even if it's just a drop. I know for one those drops here and there of kindness have been like a drop of water in a scorching too many times to count so that's my mission in writing. There are some very good stories that have a heavy basis in reality and are birthed from real events but more often than not those stories tend to be depressing despite how gripping they are. I know when I come away from stuff like that the last thing on my mind is showing kindness to anyway. Not that it was a decided intent or unintention but because you are first going; "dang that ended messed up," then "Some people are really screwed up," then to thinking how to get your mind off of meditating on that junk. Not downing people who write about certain things but rather that it wouldn't be good to have those kind of stories as the staple of your leisurely reading.

11:41 pm - "What are you?"

That is the question a man so bluntly asked me after repeated glance stares. And while seeming to be rude typed out if you are face to face with a person or at least hear their voice you can tell if they are being sarcastic or rude which he wasn't being. Even so it being a weird question I had to ask what he meant. Obviously I'm human- haven't met a person yet who couldn't tell I'm female so could he be a first? That would have been funny as I obviously am but with people these days you never know who went under the knife or whatever just to look female, but anway-

He explained he meant what "race" was I. So of course never being one to answer such questions out right I had to inquire more. To which he said I looked Mexican. Of course I had to continue picking with him asking if he was sure. :D Don't ask me weird questions or how old I am- I'll screw with your head, and probably still won't give you a definite answer. But anyway!

While I know my ancestry he didn't and had to ask. A conversation with a friend brought up the debate of being able to tell the difference between someone from Korea, China, or Japan just by LOOKING at them. I swear if I get any comments to this about paying attention to culture or language I'm going to set my flame thrower to max at the commenter. *Makes sure Disco Inferno is still on her play list just incase.*

To be honest I don't believe anyone who says they can for the very fact Korea once was a part of China and people currently inhabiting Japan migrated there from China. If you know the history of how countries/nations came to be those kind of declarations hold very little water. Yeah, large groups of people living in one spot can sure common physical traits such as hair texture, skin color, eye color, etc. But if people have to ask or go with an assumption as to my ancestry how can anyone honestly, 100% positively say they can see the difference between a Chinese and Korean person? Heck who can tell the difference between a German or Dutch person? Or for that matter between a black person from the States and one from the Ivory Coast? Again such claims of a learned skill or innate ability hold little water with me due to the fact aside from knowing the rise and fall of and how many of today's existing nations came to be when since did nationality have anything to do with your gene pull? If you plant a pear tree from Florida in China over a hundred years ago that doesn't mean it's going to stop being a pear tree. Just like if you take a something like a rabbit to a place that didn't have any that doesn't mean they stop being rabbits. Last example if a family from Zimbabwe moves to France does that change their ancestry?

My thoughts, to be honest, are it's a pride thing. People want to be different and distinguishable and people don't want to be labeled as ignorant for not noticing those differences. This is just because we may share a similar skin tone, eye shape or hair color with millions of other people it doesn't mean our individual faces are carbon copies which is another thing I think people fail to take into account. If you only have one person from Ethiopia and one from Niger in a sea of people from Japan or some scenario like that of course there is going to be a stark difference between the two because they are two different people. That doesn't mean he or she fits the standard for the average Nigerian or Ethiopian- I'm not even going to get into the history of those two countries and how they came to be, but I think my point is clear by now.

quote time;

"WOW...that's funny. I'm black and I can't tell some one from one African nation from another. So following your logic I guess I'm racist. lol...I like the comparison someone made about telling if a white person is from Russian, German, Irish or whatever descent. I think you might need some friends of color. Not just a co-worker, but a FRIEND. Really get to know some folks outside of your comfort zone because you seem to be overly sensitive about offending someone or being a racist. Don't get me wrong, that's better than being a jerk about it, but there's lots to benefit from getting to know people from other cultures and races. Good luck on that."

12:47 am - What A Waste

So I join Gaia Online because someone I know had recently joined and seemed to be enjoying it and I was too until my account got banned a.k.a. blocked early this week for no reason. The moderator that responded to a PM i sent (after I did not receive a response to the e-mail I sent) was nice enough saying to be patient, but no apology for the unfounded ban whatsoever. So many who had done nothing against the site's terms of service were suddenly baned at the same time and some having spent nearly $1000 there. While I did loose money and wasted a lot of time on that site I'm glad it wasn't that much! While I'm pissed about it I feel really bad for those who lost even more. They could have spent that money on a far more reliable game site. If all it took was the stroke of a button or glitch (I don't know what happened since they announce any and everything that will make the site money but not when it comes to this royal screw up) to block all those accounts why not just enable them again? Why spend time investigating the activity on the account? Why has no one's account been reactivated after such an obvious screw up? A member is collecting names and address and purchase history they say they will send to Gaia- though sounds more like they are planning a class action law suit if they are honestly being proactive about holding Gaia responsible for this mess. It's just a shame that there are so many people on that site who blatantly violate the terms of service there yet hundreds of people who don't just so happen to get banned. Ugh, figures.

01:43 am - Make The Best Ouf Of The Cards Your Are Dealt- what a bunch of BS
I feel so stressed over not having a normal life. It's such a pain talking to other people and hearing about their normal lives. I'm not mad at them but it just makes me feel like a failure despite the fact there really isn't anything that could have been done about that. I got dealt a crappy hand and what can you do with a loosing deck but loose? People kill me acting like bad cards can win saying things like "you do the best with the cards you are dealt" you either fold or loose either way you don't win.

^_^' Forgive me?

:D Well, if you're talking about the first Kingdom Hearts game oh man I couldn't stand him. I wanted Sora to run into the ocean and drown him. >.> In any case after beating him up 1000 times and with the release of Kingdom Hearst II (and even more so with KHII:fm+) we've worked out our differences and are now really good friends.:3

What can be learned from this? (*_*) Vendetta... No mercy for mini Sephiroths! (^o^) but after a while (meaning after I've pounded on you to my heart's content) all is forgiven. (^o^)/

11:32 pm - That's Harsh
I Wonder just how much of an impact reviews like this had on sales?

Granted Square has put out some crappy games but this is far from being one of them. I think reviews like this reflect the players preference more than the quality of the game... well that's obvious here (well that is if you've played it before). I don't care for shooter games either and that's because they have nothing to keep you interested- no storyline or anything but Dirge as a very interesting storyline (epicly long cut scenes- not to say that's a good thing but at least even the boring ones are pretty. :) ). The game really is more of an RPG/shooter mix. Yeah the camera is kinda funky but that's its only bad point. I think they were expecting a FFVII part II out of this, but even so they would still be two different games no matter how you slice it. They should have really judged Dirge on its own merits and not compare it the game it was spun off from. It's like comparing an elephant to a whale. They're both animals and that's about all they have in common.

I feel sorry for all the people that worked so obviously hard on this game just for it to be called crap.
